Critiques
You caught a terrific pose here. It is greatly complimented by her eyes and facial expression. It reminds me of those old paintings of young women waiting for their men to come home from their long journey at sea. The fact that there is a great deal of motion from the wind cements that image in my mind!
The colors are perfect, with hints of colder tones that contrast her warm skin tone. I like the tone her skin has, the subtle reds work well to make sure she isn't lost to the background. Had her skin looked to pale, she may not have stood out from the railings enough.
My only critique is that for me, there is too much at the top of the image. I would have cropped it a little closer.. but that is all about personal composition taste.
Great work! I can't wait to see more portraits from you.
